An Anime Moment

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek... Moon girl had been watching little Munchkin walk around this morning in a nappy and singlet with a lamb tucked under one arm. The thought occurred to her that it was such a gorgeous toddler image she would make a perfect anime character. So she decided to try her hand at capturing little munchkin in anime style and pulled out the "How To Draw Anime and Game Characters Vol.1" book and had a go.

Make Your Own Gorgeous Hobby Horse

Make Your Own Gorgeous Hobby Horse

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek... a wee little patchwork pony was born.
Moon mouse had been shopping and seen hobby horses at the toy shop however he didn't like the oh so pink and pretty and plastic look to them all. So he came home and decided to make one instead enlisting Moon Girl to help too.
Neigh, I even have bells on my halter.
I love it because it's so bright and colourful and of course the satisfaction of having made it ourselves.
If anyone is interested in the know how (it's really not that hard) it follows after the break...

Elements of A Creative Space

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek...
Moongirl unpacked all her arty stuff which had been hiding in boxes and made a "creative space" under the house for it all. Every house she had ever lived in had a creative space and they seemed to end up having many things in common. Following is Moongirl's list of essential elements for a good creative space.

1. Some kind of desk or table and chair.

How To Turn Daddy's Old T-Shirts Into A Cute Toddler Dress

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek... Moon Girl had finally dug her old sewing machine out and decided to make something. Being a rather lazy sewer she wanted something easy. No buttonholes or zippers or anything much more complicated than straight seams.

This is what she made being modelled by the beautiful Bibi Munchkin. Now would you like to hear the story of how she did it and you can too? All right then well sit down, make yourselves comfortable and we'll get started.

The Enchanted Forest

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek...

Moon Girl and Munchkin went out to play. It was very cold so they made sure they were well rugged up with a purple poncho for Munchkin and a black fur-lined jacket for Moon Girl. Munchkin even wore an owlet on her head to keep the chill off. Once they were both sufficiently dressed in their wonderful warm clothes, off they went in search of The Enchanted Forest where they were going to meet some friends.

Now the Enchanted Forest is not an easy place to find, as most things enchanted are. The entrance is protected by magic to prevent evil monsters from coming in and stealing the children. They went straight past it on the way there, but when they turned back, a track popped out of nowhere.
And there it was...
They met their friends and found a lovely warm spot in the sun to sit. There were some amazing things to see and Munchkin ran around investigating everything. She found an enormous fairy cirlce of mushrooms which were big enough to sit on like little stools. There was a mermaid splashing in the water and a giant flower you could talk into. But the best thing of all was eating snowflakes and riding on the echidna.

How Do You Write a Letter Now?

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek...

Moon Girl wanted to write a letter. However she didn't have any nice paper so she went to the newsagency to buy a pretty writing set. She looked near the diaries, but there weren't any there. She looked near the notebooks, but there weren't any there either. She looked near the invitations and pretty printing paper but there were still no writing sets. She asked the lady who ran the store who directed her back to the notebooks again. Moon Girl decided this shop wasn't right, so she went to the Australia Post Shop. She thought they would definitely have a writing set, but alas she had no luck there either. So she bought a packet of ten stamps and left.

Snapped Snippets of Home

One day in the little house with the long legs down by the creek...

There was a medley of multicoloured tomatoes,
